Why the name Slow loris?

Here at Slow loris, Chill’s our attitude.

We were inspired by the furry sunda slow loris, found exclusively in the forests of Southeast Asia. These little creatures move in very slow, deliberate steps, but execute lightning-speed grasps with both hands when hunting unsuspecting prey. 

A slow loris lives life cool…unfazed…and take things slow because it has unique qualities to help it survive, and it knows.

Taking heed from these accidental oracles, we believe that life’s more than just a rat race…rushing in and out of life’s activities is pretty meaningless, isn’t it? and unhealthy too. Cliché as it may seem, urban dwellers like need to stop and smell the flowers, to enjoy the finer things in live, to…take a chill pill. (did you know this term officially entered the Oxford English Dictionary Online in 2007? now…what did we tell you?)

So we urge you to Slow Down…take the time to appreciate art…to unleash your creative energies through medium of self-expression…we firmly believe that everyone is creative (just look at little children and their drawings!) We don’t hurry the creative process, neither do we rush into mass production. We make sure that every design, every stitch, every finished product, is perfected before it reaches you.

Did you know that Slow lorises are also highly accomplished climbers? Or that that they have a specialized arrangement of blood vessels in their wrists and ankles that enable them to grip onto branches perpetually? There’s always more than meets the eye with these versatile little creatures… just like our bags.

Our bags encompass all the beliefs and values we cherish. So owning our bag is like owning part of us, part of the Slow loris philosophy: To chill, to be versatile, to embrace art, above all, to embrace life.
